RELab collects product data through disassembly records with media. Middle- and end-of-life actors can add observations directly.

It keeps item identity, component hierarchy, media, and material notes.

Typical contributors:

• repairers and refurbishers
• manual dismantlers and recyclers
• researchers and lab assistants
• citizen scientists

Non-Goals

RELab is not:

• a general-purpose product lifecycle management system
• a mass-scale crowdsourcing platform
• a fully automated computer-vision pipeline
• a highly elastic cloud-native platform

The scope stays narrow because the research questions drive what gets built.
